About GRZF

The Grand Rapids Zine Fest is an annual zine festival first held on August 24th, 2013.  This one-day event celebrates the self-publishing culture in West Michigan, providing a space for zinesters to share and sell their work.

Every year we strive to make the fest a thoughtful event where everyone feels welcome.  The 2024 fest is August 17th at Fountain Street Church from 12 to 6 pm.

​

Admission is always free. The GRZF is not for profit, and our event succeeds due to participants, donations, and volunteers! The 2024 GRZF is sponsored by The Center for Cartoon Studies and Issue Press. Issue Press also prints the risograph posters every year!

The fest is organized by Sara Chittenden (she/her, 2013-Present). Sara thanks Austin Knight, Austin Edmister, her friends and family, and the zine community for their help and support!
